Synopsis

Gangland: The City of Crime is a hard-edged Punjabi crime drama set against the violent underbelly of an urban gangster ecosystem. The film follows the rise of a young man drawn into organized crime, initially through survival and circumstance, but gradually through ambition and power. As he becomes entangled with rival gangs, contract killings, extortion networks, and corrupt intermediaries, the city itself turns into a battleground where loyalty is temporary and betrayal is inevitable. Parallel to the gangster arc, the film explores the law-and-order response—police pressure, informants, and internal fractures within both sides—showing how crime feeds on fear, unemployment, and unchecked power. Rather than glorifying gang life, Gangland focuses on its consequences: fractured families, moral erosion, and the illusion of control that ultimately traps everyone involved. The narrative builds toward a violent reckoning where choices made for quick power demand irreversible payment.
