Not that Punjabi movies haven't done well this year but upcoming movie titled 'Dakuaan Da Munda 2' is expected to surpass each one of them without much discomfort as far as the box-office collection is concerned.

Coming on the back of superabundant goodwill of Mandeep Benipal's 'Dakuaan Da Munda' (2018), build-up of Dakuaan Da Munda 2 has started on an exemplary note. While the movie was announced months after the release of the first part, a four-year time gap between the two parts is proving to be just the right time interval between two parts.

This wait has reached to another level since the trailer release of Dakuaan Da Munda 2 last week. Starring Dev Kharoud (in a titular role) and produced by Dream Reality Moviez, a pairing which has worked on the box-office more often than not, expect Kharoud's bountiful fans to watch the movies on the first day itself, i.e., May 27.

The aforementioned presumption around the commercial success of Dakuaan Da Munda 2 is also because of what the first part had achieved four years ago.

Readers must note that Dakuaan Da Munda was the highest grosser across all movies released in India on its release day. In what was the fifth-highest first day collection for a Punjabi movie, it was the highest for a Punjabi film without a singer-turned-actor at the time.

With Dakuaan Da Munda earning an affluent INR 1.62 Crores in East Punjab on Day 1, it wouldn't be a surprise if Dakuaan Da Munda 2 touches the 2-crore mark later this month.
