June 14 will be the first instance of June and the seventh of this year when two (or more than two) Punjabi movies will release on the same day. Citing the same, here is looking forward to another enthralling Friday for the Punjabi film industry.

The second movie to hit the silver screen will be Darshan Bagga’s ‘Jind Jaan’. The trailer of the movie was released more than two weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Zee Music Company. At the time of writing this article, it has received over half a million views on the same platform.

In Rajvir Jawanda and Sara Sharmaa, Jind Jaan will introduce a new lead pair in the Punjabi film industry. Although Jawanda played a cameo last year, it will be the first time that he will be playing a lead role in a movie. Other than the lead pair, the movie stars Jaswinder Bhalla, Upasana Singh, Harblas Sangha, Gaurav Kakkar, Jasmine Singh, Manveer Singh, Swantantra Bharat and others.

Shot in Thailand, Jind Jaan will witness its lead pair falling for each other while Jawanda teaches singing to Sharmaa. Having said that, dire circumstances will cause interruptions in their romance. Other than eyeballs on singer Jawanda’s debut as a lead actor, audiences will also look forward to the story written and directed by veteran director Darshan Bagga.

Jind Jaan has been produced by Pawan Aggarwal and Karan Aggarwal under the banner of BRS Films. The movie will face intense competition at the box-office from Mandeep Singh Chahal’s ‘Munda Faridkotia’. While no major Hindi movie is scheduled to release tomorrow, Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ will also affect the business of the Punjabi movies.
