Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has reportedly received a death threat allegedly issued in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with the message objecting to his recent marriage to Gauri Spratt and accusing the actor of promoting what it described as "Love Jihad."

According to media reports, a letter and an accompanying audio clip, purportedly circulated in the gang's name, surfaced online on Saturday. The message reportedly warns the actor over his personal life and claims that his recent marriage is contrary to the group's ideological beliefs.

The alleged threat has drawn attention on social media, although neither the Mumbai Police nor central security agencies have officially confirmed the authenticity of the letter or the audio recording. No FIR or official investigation details had been made public at the time of filing this report.

Aamir Khan's representatives have also not issued any public response regarding the reported threat.

The development comes days after the actor married Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony held under the Special Marriage Act. The wedding, attended by close family members and friends, was conducted through a civil registration rather than traditional religious rituals.

Following the marriage, sections of social media raised allegations of "Love Jihad," prompting Aamir Khan to publicly address the issue. In an interview, the actor rejected the claims, stating that none of his marriages involved religious conversion.

He clarified that Gauri Spratt follows Christianity and that their marriage was registered under civil law. Aamir also pointed to the diverse religious backgrounds within his own family, noting that interfaith marriages have long been a part of his extended family.

The reported threat has once again highlighted growing concerns over public figures being targeted over their personal choices. Authorities are yet to officially comment on whether the alleged communication originated from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang or whether any security measures have been enhanced for the actor.

Until an official statement is issued, the claims remain based on media reports and have not been independently verified by law enforcement.
