Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh Reunite for 'Jigra', 8 Years After Udta Punjab

Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh News: Eight years ago, 'Udta Punjab' brought together an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh in an unforgettable cinematic moment. The film marked Diljit Dosanjh's Bollywood debut and saw Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan sharing the screen post-breakup, making it a standout project. 

Along with its powerful storyline and stellar performances, Udta Punjab also introduced fans to the unexpected yet magical collaboration between Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. Their track "Ikk Kudi" remains a fan favorite to this day.

Now, the duo is reuniting for Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film 'Jigra', much to the excitement of their fans. The highly anticipated movie, which also features Vedang Raina as Alia’s onscreen brother, is set in a gripping prison-break scenario. 

The excitement surged when Alia and Diljit shared a glimpse from the set on social media. In the photo, Alia sits on a chair labeled "The Said Kudi," while Diljit's chair reads "Sings About Kudi."

Alia captioned the post, “chairs say it all ?????,” which sent fans into a frenzy. To this, one user excitedly commented, "I can’t wait for another banger they’re about to create ????????????," while another exclaimed, "OMG woahhh. What a wholesome crossover! Can't wait ????????.” 

Referring to Diljit’s sold-out Dil-Luminati Tour 2024, a fan humorously remarked, "While the world fights for tickets, she collabs with the man himself ????????." Another added, "Can’t wait to experience the magic you both are gonna create ????."

With Jigra directed by Vasan Bala and set to release on October 11, fans now have even more reason to eagerly await this exciting reunion on the big screen.
