Chandigarh: Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut's film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has received a major boost after the Haryana government announced that it will be exempt from entertainment tax in the state. The announcement came during a special screening of the film held in Chandigarh in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and several senior government officials.
The event went beyond a routine film promotion, focusing instead on recognising the invaluable contribution of frontline workers and public service employees. Healthcare professionals, sanitation staff, security personnel and support workers were honoured for their dedication and commitment towards society.
Addressing the gathering, Kangana Ranaut expressed gratitude to the Haryana government for supporting the film and its message. She said the presence of doctors and healthcare workers at the screening made the occasion particularly meaningful, adding that the film is dedicated to people whose efforts often remain unnoticed despite their vital role in nation-building.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while announcing the tax exemption, said meaningful cinema has the power to inspire people and strengthen social values. He remarked that films carrying a positive message deserve to reach a wider audience and appreciated the makers for highlighting the contributions of ordinary citizens.
Several ministers, legislators and senior bureaucrats attended the event, joining the cast in honouring local healthcare workers and public servants who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.
The Chandigarh programme is part of an ongoing nationwide campaign associated with the film, under which real-life heroes from different sectors are being recognised in various cities. The initiative aims to shine a spotlight on individuals whose service forms the foundation of everyday life but rarely receives public recognition.
Presented by PEN Studios and produced in collaboration with Manikarnika Films and Paramhans Creations, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata continues to generate discussions not only for its storyline but also for its effort to celebrate the spirit of selfless service across the country.
