One doesn’t need to emphasize on the fact that the trailer of upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘Chal Mera Putt 2’ is doing the rounds on not just YouTube but across social media platforms.

Singer-turned-actor-turned-producer Amrinder Gill continuing to lead the search for permanent residency alongside many others has found instance place in the hearts of people twice in less than a year now.

‘Chal Mera Putt‘, which had released on July 26 last year, being converted into a franchise this soon speaks highly about the success attained by the first part.

In Gill, Simi Chahal, Gurshabad, Hardeep Gill, Iftikhar Thakur, Nasir Chinyoti and Akram Udas, the makers have retained the old cast primarily due to the story going forward.

Having said that, Chal Mera Putt 2 will also witness as many four novel names in Zafri Khan, Ruby Anum, Garry Sandhu and Nirmal Rishi.

Zafri Khan

Much like Thakur, Chinyoti and Udas, Zafri Khan is also a tried and tested name in Pakistani dramas. Another similarity between the trio and him is exceptional comic timing especially when it comes to delivering punches.

Although Chal Mera Putt 2 will be Khan’s first Punjabi movie, he has a handsome fan-following in the state and overseas on the back of his videos on YouTube.

Zafri Khan will be playing the role of Advocate Bilal in the movie. The immigrants are expected to come in contact with the advocate to confirm their residency in England.

Ruby Anum

Actress Ruby Anum will be the fifth Pakistani artist in the Chal Mera Putt franchise. Also having specialization in the comic genre, Anum will reportedly play the role of Chaudhary Shamsher’s (Iftikhar Thakur) wife in Chal Mera Putt 2.

Considering a potential rift between the husband-wife, expect the immigrants to have a tough time while living under the eyes of Saira (name of her character).

Garry Sandhu

Singer-turned-actor Garry Sandhu, who had made his acting debut in ‘Romeo Ranjha’ (2014) and hasn’t acted ever since, will be seen on the celluloid after six years in Chal Mera Putt 2.

It is quite clear from the trailer that Sandhu will play spoilsport in the potential lovey-dovey sequence between the protagonists in Gill and Chahal. Sandhu, who has developed into a bankable singer in all these years, will undoubtedly entice eyeballs for his performance on the silver screens.

Nirmal Rishi

Veteran actress Nirmal Rishi doesn’t need any introduction. Having featured in plentiful Punjabi movies across genres, Rishi will now be seen contributing in the Chal Mera Putt franchise.

It is expected that Rishi’s character will remain in Punjab and all the scenes will either be while communicating with her or during any background sequence.
