'Cute Munda' - Sharry Mann's winsome victory

0% Liked

A trailblazer name in the Punjabi music industry, Sharry Mann, has put on sale his latest single number, 'Cute Munda'. The song has paved a way for Mann to make a comeback in the romantic genre after a long while. Off late, he has sung such songs in Punjabi movies, but, talking about single tracks, one has to track as back as his fervent 'Kalla Channa' in May 2014.

The song was released yesterday on the official YouTube channel of Lokdhun Punjabi. At the time of writing this article, it has received more than 2.5 millions views (in 24 hours) and is trending on #1 on the same platform. Perhaps, numbers such as these are nothing new for Mann for his last single track, 'Transportiye', received close to 13 million views and record-breaking '3 Peg' received in excess of 170 millions views on YouTube.

Right from the title of the song to its audio to the music video, all things go in tandem with each other, the primary reason behind the success of the song. An accomplished singer, as he is, the way Mann carries himself in music videos is also worth taking one's hat off to him. The song is musically directed by Gift Rulers. The lyrics have been penned down by Zaildar Pargat Singh.

Another name which has added efficacy to the music video is its director and screenplay-writer, the flamboyant Parmish Verma. Cute Munda is another epitome as to why he is one of the leading video directors in the Punjabi music industry. Apart from his brains behind the video, his emergence in a lone shot is what has it in it to hypnotise a lot of eye balls. This is his second collaboration with Mann after the spellbinding 'Hostel', which came earlier this year.

We, at Punjabi Mania, would be doing injustice if we don't credit Rumman Ahmed, the girl seen opposite to Mann in the video, for she leaves an aftermath of consequence with her grandeur and turn of phrase. Having made her debut in the Punjabi music industry with Harf Cheema's 'Hanju', and having worked with Verma earlier in Monty & Waris' 'Mere Piche' and Jimmy Kotkapura's 'End Marhe', she has made a name out of herself now.
