Disco Singh Opens BIG, Records 2nd highest Day 1

Disco Singh did tremendous business on Day 1 as it grossed Rs. 1 Crore nett in East Punjab circuit and around Rs. 20 Lakhs nett in the rest of India.

The film could not beat the first day record of Jatt and Juilet 2 but that was probably because of the brand value of Jatt And Juliet 2 after Jatt and Juliet became a hugely appreciated film. Disco Singh is the second best opening day ever for a Punjabi film.

The film has had the widest All India release for a Punjabi film and has been released by Munish Sahni of Omjee Cine World. An excited Munish Sahni said, “It has been a Bumper Opening fro Disco Singh and we all are very happy to have brought back the trend of Punjabi films opening big. The morning shows on Friday have had an occupancy of 85-100% and the evening shows are sold out. Also there is huge holiday in Punjab on Monday for Baisakhi so Disco Singh is set for strong four day run.”

The film has seen some new centres in terms of Theatrical Release like Lucknow, Patna, Indore, Agra, Bhopal, etc. The film has also been released in South India on a limited release.
