The production house behind big Punjabi films like ‘Rupinder Gandhi- The Gangster’, ‘Rupinder Gandhi 2- The Robinhood’, ‘Daakuan Da Munda’ and ‘Kaka ji’- Dream Reality Movies is known for its intense genre of films and is popular for movies which are closer to reality. The renowned production house had made headlines in December 2018, when it had announced the Biopic of Jassi Sidhu and Sukhwinder Mithu.
The announcement of this big project had created a flutter amongst the audience. The film based on the real life story of Jassi Sidhu and her husband Sukhwinder Mithu, itrigued the audience and created utmost excitement and curiosity amongst them.
The much talked about biopic, tentatively titled as ‘Jassi Sidhu Murder Case’, is based on the true love story and murder conspiracy of NRI- Jassi Sidhu. The movie will also show her husband- Sukhwinder Mithu’s struggle for getting justice for his deceased wife. The story of the film has been penned by none other than Sukhwinder Mithu.
Recently the team of Dream Reality Movies, released an official notice regarding this project. In its notice, Dream Reality Movies claimed all rights on the story of ”Jassi Sidhu Murder Case”. The team addressed the notice to contemporary producers and to the public in general, and warned all other parties to not indulge in any unauthorized broadcasting, telecasting, production or exhibition of the film or the story as the Dream Reality Movies holds the copyrights for the same.
In the notice, the team mentioned that they have complete rights of every kind and nature to exploit the film in any manner without any credit owing to any third party, as the writer of the film- Sukwinder Singh has already sold and assigned the story to Dream Reality Movies. Other than this, the notice also mentioned that the production house shall initiate legal action if any party indulges in production or exhibition of the said film.
The producers of the film had revealed that the superstar of Punjabi cinema- Dev Kharoud will be playing the pivotal role of an investigating officer in the film. No other revelations about the movie have been made by the makers yet.
The shooting of the movie had to be pushed forward due to the pandemic and will soon be in action. The film is based on the very sensitive subject of honor killing and will show a very different yet real side of our society. The audience is eagerly looking forward to the film.
