Galwakdi: Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi to play lead role in Vehli Janta and Omjee Star Studios' next

Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi to play lead role: The novel couple will play the titular role in the upcoming Punjabi movie.

Lyricist-turned-singer-turned-actor-turned-producer Tarsem Singh Jassar and actress Wamiqa Gabbi will play the lead role in upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Galwakdi'. Other than the lead pair, the movie will also star BN Sharma and Raghveer Boli. The shooting of the movie has begun in London.

The development was made public by renowned distributor and producer Munish Sahni on social media platform Facebook. It is worth mentioning that Sahni is also producing the movie under the banner of Omjee Star Studios alongside Jassar's home production in Vehli Janta Films.

While Sahni didn't mention the release date of the movie, Punjabi Mania understands that it will hit the silver screens in the next year.



 

Having made his directorial debut with 'Rabb Da Radio 2' under the same production house, Sharan Art is now directing Galwakdi. Released in 2016, Jassar also has a single track of the same title to his name.

While Jassar was last seen opposite Neeru Bajwa in 'Uda Aida', Gabbi has been part of as many as four movies this year - 'Nadhoo Khan', 'Dil Diyan Gallan', 'Nikka Zaildar 3' and 'Doorbeen' (slated to release on this Friday).
