Guru Nanak Jahaz Teaser Review: The Punjabi film industry is going to take a time travel with an upcoming epic drama, 'Guru Nanak Jahaz' — The journey of Komagata Maru — featuring Tarsem Jassar in the lead role. The film is set to be released in theatres on May 1, 2025.
The makers have unveiled the teaser of the film, and it grabs all the attention courtesy of not just the actors in the film but also the direction and screenplay it promises. Sharan Art directed the film, which was produced by Manpreet Johal and written by Harnav Bir Singh and Sharan Art.
Along with Tarsem Jassar, the film also features Gurpreet Ghuggi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Mark Bennington in pivotal roles. The teaser promises high-octane drama with a lot of emotions that will entrall the audience and will keep you stuck to the couch.

What was the Komagata Maru incident?
The Komagata Maru incident took place in 1914 when a Japanese steamship carrying 376 prospective Punjabi immigrants attempted to immigrate to Canada. However, most of them were denied entry due to racially restrictive Canadian immigration laws but the ship's arrival in Vancouver provoked strong anti-Asian backlash. Likewise, the passengers were forced to return to India which led to an altercation between authorities and passengers resulted in 22 deaths.
