Gippy Grewal Raises Concerns Over Mahindra Scorpio-N, Calls Out Dealership Experience and Technical Issues

Renowned Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal has publicly voiced his dissatisfaction with Mahindra following a series of troubling experiences related to the Mahindra Scorpio-N vehicles he recently purchased. In a letter addressed directly to Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, Grewal outlines what he describes as an “extremely disappointing” experience, citing both product malfunctions and unprofessional behavior from the dealership staff at Raj Vehicles, Mohali.

Grewal had purchased two Mahindra Scorpio-N SUVs in December 2024 as a gesture of appreciation for his team. However, what began as a heartfelt token quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal.

In the message shared with Mahindra executives and the public via email, Grewal detailed several alarming issues:

Technical Deficiencies

Both vehicles reportedly began exhibiting issues from the very first ride. One vehicle suffered from blinking LED lights, infotainment system disconnections, and intermittent digital meter malfunctions. The second Scorpio-N reportedly had similar electronics issues along with a concerning structural gap in the boot space, suggesting a potential manufacturing defect.

Alleged Unprofessional Conduct

Equally troubling were the interactions with dealership staff. Grewal alleges that his concerns were met with “rude, arrogant, and disrespectful behavior.” The letter cites inappropriate remarks made by staff, including dismissive statements implying nothing could be done. When he asked for documentation of service visits, the dealership reportedly refused to comply, further raising concerns about transparency and accountability.

Gippy Grewal’s Appeal

In his closing remarks, Grewal appeals directly to Anand Mahindra: “Please help, bought 2 Scorpio-Ns for my team, but facing persistent tech issues & poor dealership experience. Requesting immediate resolution & investigation into Raj Vehicles, Mohali.”

He urged Anand Mahindra to initiate:

  • A full technical inspection by qualified Mahindra personnel.
  • A formal investigation into the conduct of dealership staff, particularly Mr. Rajesh Sharma and Mr. Rajeev Sharma (CEO).
  • An explanation and correction regarding the refusal to provide visit logs.
