Janjj: Ammy Virk to play lead in Gurpreet Singh Palheri's next

Janjj: Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk's second movie with Gurpreet Singh Palheri has been announced.

Singer-turned-actor-turned-producer Ammy Virk announced yet another Punjabi movie titled 'Janjj' last night. Virk took to his social media platform Instagram account to share the development with his bountiful fans.

Janjj will further extend Virk's association with writer-director Jagdeep Sidhu as script of the movie has been written by the latter.

Gurpreet Singh Palheri, who had written Pankaj Batra's 'Sajjan Singh Rangroot' (2018) and Simerjit Singh’s ‘Nikka Zaildar 3’ (2019 - co-written with Sidhu), will be directing Janjj. Readers must note that Virk and Palheri were slated to work together as actor-director in 'Hukma' but there is no other development other than the movie announcement with respect to Hukma.

Virk, who has turned to producing movies lately, will be bankrolling Janjj himself under the banners of Ammy Virk Productions and Kisaan Productions. While the announcement doesn't talk about the rest of the cast, it sure has locked a release date in July 29 next year.

Janjj has been added to Virk's long list of movies namely Rakesh Dhawan's 'Aaja Mexico Challiye', 'De De Geda', Amarjit Singh Saron's 'Saunkan Saunkne', Sidhu's 'Sher Bagga', Jass Grewal's 'Baajre Da Sitta' and 'Challe Mundiyan' and Hukma, which are all scheduled to release in the future.
