Karan Aujla concert in Mohali: Key roads to avoid as traffic advisory issued for fans and VIPs

With thousands of fans expected to gather for Punjabi music star Karan Aujla’s live performance in Mohali on Saturday night, authorities have issued a traffic advisory to manage the anticipated surge in vehicles around the concert venue.

The event will take place at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Phase 9, and officials believe the surrounding roads could witness significant congestion as visitors begin arriving in large numbers during the afternoon and evening hours.

Traffic police have requested residents and commuters to avoid travelling through Phase 9 and nearby connecting routes wherever possible. Drivers passing through the area have been encouraged to take alternate routes to reduce pressure on the roads near the stadium.

Event organisers, in coordination with local authorities, have arranged separate parking zones and designated drop-off points for attendees. Temporary diversions and traffic control measures have also been introduced to regulate the movement of vehicles around the venue.

Officials said the advisory is necessary as the concert forms part of the highly anticipated P POP CULTURE India Tour 2026, which has generated tremendous excitement among fans. Tickets for the event have reportedly been priced between ?1,499 and nearly ?11.80 lakh for premium access, reflecting the overwhelming demand for the show.

To maintain order and ensure smooth movement in the city, the police department has deployed more than 4,500 personnel across Mohali from March 13 to March 15. Their responsibilities include traffic regulation, crowd control and security arrangements for the large gathering expected at the stadium.

Residents have been advised to plan their travel carefully and allow additional time for commuting, particularly those travelling near the city centre. Authorities also encouraged the public to opt for public transport or shared vehicles to minimise traffic buildup.

Officials emphasised that cooperation from commuters and residents will be essential in managing the heavy rush as the city prepares to host one of the biggest music events of the season.
