Popular Punjabi singer Karan Aujla has once again stepped up to support flood-affected communities in Punjab, this time backing a long-term rehabilitation project led by the NGO Initiators of Change in Fazilka district.

The region, which was severely impacted by devastating floods earlier this year, is now witnessing the start of home reconstruction efforts for displaced families. The NGO has launched a mission to rebuild houses for those who lost their homes, and Aujla’s continued involvement is expected to bring both much-needed resources and awareness to the cause.

This is not the singer’s first contribution to the relief initiative. In the immediate aftermath of the floods, Aujla donated a motor-boat used in rescue operations, provided 10,000 kg of cattle feed to support struggling farmers, and even pledged his live performance earnings to further fund recovery efforts.

Speaking about the ongoing work, representatives from Initiators of Change said the project has now moved into its most critical phase — rebuilding lives through permanent housing solutions. “With Karan Aujla’s support, we’re not only accelerating the work but also drawing attention to communities that still need help,” said a spokesperson from the NGO.

Aujla, who enjoys a massive following among Punjabi youth and diaspora communities, is using his platform to amplify calls for support and inspire others to contribute.

As monsoon-related destruction becomes an increasing challenge in Punjab, collaborations between public figures and grassroots organizations are proving vital for sustainable recovery. The Fazilka initiative stands as a testament to what collective action — backed by local voices and influential supporters — can achieve in times of crisis.
