Kokka Preview: Neeru Bajwa and Gurnam Bhullar's distinctive love story to release tomorrow

Kokka Preview: Punjabi Mania present before you the full preview of upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘Kokka’.

Legendary actor Neeru Bajwa and singer-turned-actor Gurnam Bhullar's first movie with each other titled 'Kokka' is all in readiness of releasing worldwide in cinema halls tomorrow, i.e., May 20 (Friday).

In what will be Bajwa's first movie of the year 2022, Bhullar will have his third release in less than three months. Other than the novel pair, Kokka also stars Gurpreet Bhangu, Rupinder Rupi and Baljinder Kaur in pivotal roles.

Having co-directed 'Munda Hi Chahida' (2019), Santosh Thite has performed the same role in Kokka. Associate director in Munda Hi Chahida (and many other Punjabi movies in the recent years), Bhanu Thakur has worked as a co-director for the first time in Kokka.

It is noteworthy that Kokka has been written by Rupinder Inderjit much like his directorial debut Main Viyan Nahi Karona Tere Naal' earlier this year.

Originally announced in 2019 with the same lead pair but a different director, Kokka is highly likely to be etched in the history of the Punjabi film industry among movies which aimed at breaking societal barriers. The movie will touch upon the subject of a romantic encounter between a couple with a considerable age difference.

On the back of its trailer and peppy songs, Kokka has been able to achieve what films tend to achieve with respect to the build-up to a theatrical release. The key will now be to convert this build-up into footfall in the cinema halls tomorrow onward.

Kokka has been produced by Thite, Raman Aggarwal, Vishal Johal and Nitin Talwar under the banners of Neeru Bajwa Entertainment and Topnotch Studios UK. While Anees Bazmee's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and Razneesh Ghai's 'Dhaakad' will provide competition to Kokka among latest Hindi movies, its biggest competitor lies in Amarjit Singh Saron's 'Saunkan Saunkne'.
