Lekh: Gurnam Bhullar and Tania to play lead in White Hill's next

Gurnam Bhullar and Tania: The much-liked pair will be once again seen together as a leading pair in upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Lekh'.

Singer-turned-actor Gurnam Bhullar and actress Tania will be seen together as a lead pair in upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Lekh'. The announcement of the movie has been done on Bhullar's 26th birthday today.

"Iss to wadiya bday gift ni ho sakda @jagdeepsidhu veere , the film for i am preparing from last 4 months , eda di film shayad ii mere carrier ch dubara bane [There can't be a better birthday gift than this. I am preparing for this film from the last four months. I doubt if I'll be able to be part of such a movie again in my career]," read Bhullar's Instagram caption as he shared the title poster of the movie.

Lekh will mark the directorial debut of Bhanu Pratap Singh and Manvir Brar. The movie will be bankrolled by Manmord Sidhu and Gunbir Sidhu under their banner of White Hill Studios.

Writer-director Jagdeep Sidhu, who has played a vital role in both Bhullar and Tania's career, has written the script, screenplay and dialogues of Lekh.

It is worth mentioning that Bhullar and Tania had earlier worked together in Bhullar's debut movie titled 'Guddiyan Patole' (2019). While Bhullar was last seen in Jagdeep Sidhu's 'Surkhi Bindi' (2019), Tania was last seen in Sidhu's 'Sufna' (2020).

Given the uncertain scenario due to the global pandemic especially in the film industry, the makers haven't announced the release date of Lekh as of now.

Had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic, Bhullar would have been on the silver screen opposite Sargun Mehta and Sonam Bajwa in Ksshitij Chaudhary's 'Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gaya' and Rupinder Inderjit's 'Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal' respectively.

Tania, on the other hand, has a couple of pending movies opposite Ammy Virk titled 'Qismat 2' and 'Baajre Da Sitta'.
