Mankirt Aulakh new movie: The renowned singer will return to acting after a long hiatus with upcoming movie.
Renowned singer Mankirt Aulakh will return to acting after more than six years in upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Brown Boys'.
The movie was announced via an Instagram post by T-Series yesterday. For the unversed, Aulakh had made his acting debut in Ksshitij Chaudhary's 'Main Teri Tu Mera' (2016).
For him to make a comeback with a label as famous as T-Series, the prospect sounds quite exciting for his acting career. Actor Ankita Sharma, who had featured in Amrit Maan's single track titled 'Allah Maaf Kre' earlier this year, will be making her debut in the Punjabi film industry with Brown Boys. It is noteworthy that the pair has already starting shooting for the movie.
Brown Boys is being directed by Akhilesh Jaiswal. In what will be another directorial debut in the Punjabi industry, Jaiswal has writing credits to his name in Anurag Kashyap's 'Gangs of Wasseypur' (2012), recently released Hindi web-series titled 'Illegal - Justice, Out of Order', 'Shiksha Mandal' among others.
While the makers are yet to reveal a release date for Brown Boys, it is safe to assume that the movie will release in 2023.
