Rupnagar: Punjabi singer, actor and fitness influencer Karandeep has revealed that he recently suffered a heart attack while in Australia, describing the incident as a life-altering experience that gave him a new perspective on health and priorities.
The 32-year-old artist, who originally hails from Rupnagar (Ropar), Punjab, shared an emotional video on social media where he spoke about the frightening episode and said he was fortunate to survive. He credited the quick response of his friends for helping save his life during the medical emergency.
Recalling the incident, Karandeep said May 19 became a turning point in his life and that the presence of his friends at the critical moment proved crucial. He expressed gratitude towards the four friends who immediately stepped in when he collapsed and helped him receive timely assistance.
The singer said the experience changed his understanding of health, especially because he had always followed a disciplined fitness routine. Despite regular workouts and a healthy lifestyle, he faced a serious health crisis that came as a shock.
Sharing a message for young people, Karandeep stressed that physical fitness alone does not guarantee complete protection from medical problems. He advised people not to ignore regular health examinations and urged them to remain alert about their overall well-being.
"Going to the gym and eating healthy is important, but regular medical check-ups are equally necessary. Health issues can appear unexpectedly," he said.
Karandeep also highlighted that conditions such as heart attacks, strokes and sudden health complications are not limited to older people and can affect individuals regardless of their age or fitness habits.
Reflecting on his recovery, the singer spoke about the importance of relationships and spending time with loved ones. He encouraged people to value their parents, siblings and family members, saying that material achievements hold little importance during moments of crisis.
Calling his survival a "second chance at life," Karandeep said he wants to use his public platform to promote awareness about preventive healthcare and encourage people to take their health seriously.
