'Ranjha Refugee' to hit the silver screens: Punjabi Mania presents before you the preview of upcoming Punjabi movie named 'Ranjha Refugee'.

The fact that the year 2018 will be seen as a path-breaking one for the Punjabi film industry can't be put out of sight. Irrespective of the consequences, the year has produced numerous topics which were never-seen-before in the state. Among one of those concepts is upcoming Punjabi movie named 'Ranjha Refugee'.

The trailer of the movie was released less than three weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Lokdhun Punjabi. At the time of writing this article, it has received over three million views on the same platform. Watch the full railer below:



 

The movie will see Roshan Prince playing a double role in it, something which is a rare scenario in the Punjabi industry. Saanvi Dhiman, who made her debut in the Punjabi industry in Avtar Singh's 'Rupinder Gandhi 2: The Robinhood' last year, will be seen playing the lead role opposite Prince. Apart from them, the movie also stars Karamjit Anmol, Nisha Bano, Harby Sangha, Malkeet Rauni, Rupinder Rupi and others.

It is clear from the title of the movie that it will revolve around a love story and will comprise of an army background. The latter is highly likely to consist of a hysterical battle with the soldiers from across the border. We've seen in the past that such scenes can have unjustifiable elements. Whether director Avtar Singh has taken care of all those details will only be known after watching the movie in a cinema hall on this Friday, i.e., October 26.

The presence of Anmol and Sangha gives us further assurance of the movie being high on comical lines. The former's attempt of initiating his own love story is seen in the trailer and is something which is likely to put weight to the love story. In which is a period movie, it will be added to the long list of movie of this genre being made in the Punjabi film industry.

Apart from directing the movie, Avtar Singh has also written its script and screenplay. The film is produced by Tarsem Kaushal and Sudesh Thakur under the banner of J.B. Movie Production. Ranjha Refugee will receive stiff competition from Gauravv K. Chawla's 'Baazaar', Namrata Singh Gujral's '5 Weddings' and Dheeraj Kumar's 'Kaashi: In Search of Ganga'.
