Only a couple of free-flowing performances during the nascent stage of one's singing career are enough for people to form the viewpoint that a particular singer is of a certain 'type'. The proceedings in Ninja's singer career were no different as people categorised him timely as the angry-young-man of the Punjabi music industry.

Not much time had passed when Ninja put forward in front of the audiences the romantic facet of his persona. Post 'Aadat', 'Oh Kyun Ni Jaan Ske', 'Channa Mereya' and 'Roi Na', Ninja accumulated a new set of audiences under his fan base. Having proved his versatility in the recent times, Ninja has jumped back to a genre which had gained him immense popularity in the first place.

In which is his first song of 2018, Ninja has come up with 'Challenge'. The song was released on the official YouTube channel of White Hill Music in the morning. At the time of writing this article, it has received in excess of three lakh views on the same platform.

As mentioned above, Challenge has made Ninja walk a path that made him what he is today. When I write this, I am not just talking about the ilk, but, also about Ninja's prestigious accessory, his mundran. Since the days of Channa Mereya, he had shelved his most embraced accessory. His fans, per se, are most likely to take this look of Ninja to their heart for it had become his USP at one time.

In what is an Umesh Karmawala presentation, the song is produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu & Manmord Sidhu. The song is penned down by Sidhu Moose Wala. Given Moose Wala's track record and ingenuity of writing songs of this genre, his coming together with Ninja was always going to be dreaded in terms of the theme of the song. Now when the song is out, one can say that this combination has unhesitatingly worked and is a merger that Punjabi audiences would be looking out for in the future as well.

The song is musically directed by Byg Byrd. Having proved his mettle earlier in three most recent songs sung by Moose Wala, this is another testament to his career. Avex Dhillon has directed the music video and has done a stirring job in doing so. The part where Ninja has donned the joker look might just end up being the highlight of the music video.
