'Rondi Tere Layi' - Babbal Rai's comprehensive victory

Babbal Rai, a virtuoso Punjabi singer, has transpired with his latest single track 'Rondi Tere Layi'. Being already added to the list of crowd-pulling songs sung by Rai, the song has achieved favourable results within days of its release. Coming on the back of his last hit single track 'Dream Boy', which was released in June this year, Rai has emerged victorious comprehensively as far as shifting genres is concerned.

Someone who has suited the music video of Rondi Tere Layi down to the ground is the female lead opposite to Rai in the video, Rubina Bajwa. Having made her debut in the Punjabi movie industry opposite Jassi Gill and Rai in 'Sargi' earlier this year, this is her advent in a music video. Perhaps, what was a primary requirement for the concept of this video, Rubina Bajwa's innocent demeanour and prepossessing sight has fit in in the video with true-blue perfection.

With this video, she has also put her step in the ongoing trend of Punjabi film actresses featuring in music videos, something which her elder sister, Neeru Bajwa, has also done in the past. Be it in Gippy Grewal's 'Daang' or Jassi Gill's 'Vich Pardesan', Neeru Bajwa's grace added a lot to both these music videos. Even Wamiqa Gabbi featured in Kulwinder Billa's 'Angrezi Wali Madam' earlier this year. Because films take a lot of time to be completed, a music video is a window through which these stars can make an appearance in front of their fans.

Pav Dharia, who became the fifth Punjabi singer to enter the 100-million club on YouTube has directed this video. A lot of impute for Rondi Tere Layi also goes to him. The value of a song can be boosted by the quality of its video and this is where Dharia has contributed immensely to this project. The song has been written and musically directed by Preet Hundal.
