The trailer of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Sher Bagga' released on the official YouTube channel of Burfi Music this morning. Readers must note that the movie had been first announced excatly 11 months ago.

Scheduled to release on June 10, Sher Bagga will be the fifth collaboration of actors Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa as far as Punjabi movies are concerned. Additionally, Sher Bagga will be Virk's ninth instance of working with writer-director Jagdeep Sidhu. While Bajwa has acted in several movies written by Sidhu in the past, Sher Bagga will be the first time that she has acted in a movie directed by him.

Last seen in Amarjit Singh Saron's 'Saunkan Saunkne' as recent as this month, Virk will have another release in less than a month. In what will be his fourth appearance on the silver screens in 2022, it will be Bajwa's second this year.

In addition to Virk and Bajwa, Sher Bagga also stars Deep Sehgal, Nirmal Rishi, Kaka Kautki, Baninder Bunny, Rup Khatkar, Jasneet Kaur and Gurdiyal Singh in vital roles.

Sher Bagga Trailer Review

Evident from the posters of the movie that Sher Bagga would be a comedy movie around a baby, the trailer confirms it to be a comedy around an unplanned baby. While mediocre trailers have the tendency of getting converted into good movies, Sher Bagga's 216-second trailer will have to do the same in order to extend the success spree of the names involved.

A trailer which appears to be Sidhu's weakest (as a director) is also because of his stellar work in the past. In all honesty, the segments shot in India featuring the likes of Bunny and Rishi are surely funny but elements around lead actors appear to be commonplace and routine work.

For example, the last dialogue of the trailer is the same as a dialogue used (multiple times) by Virk in Saunkan Saunkne. Moreover, the general premise around an unplanned baby was also present in Bajwa's penultimate movie.

Therefore, what becomes of crucial importance now is for Sher Bagga to have (sincerely hoping for it) more meat and nuances than what have been depicted in the trailer.
