The star cast of Upcoming Punjbai film Bikkar Bai Sentimental was here in the city to promote their film. Addressing to the media, Singer turned Actor Jassi Jasraj said that the movie is set in the times when every Punjabi has a question to ask, but is subsided under societal pressure. It’s a not to be missed family entertainer complete with love, drama, action and romance, he said. He also requested each and every Punjabi to go and watch the film and asked the media for their support since the film is an out of the league product and not a comedy which is a dear thing in every Punjabi film these days. He claimed that Bikkar Bai is first justified ‘Action-Drama’ film in the history of Punjabi Cinema.
Bollywood actress Preeti Jhangiani, who is all set to rock Punjabi cinema with her second Punjabi movie Bikkar Bai Senti Mental paired opposite Jassi Jasraj was also present at the media event spoke about her character and her experience of working in a Punjabi film after 6 years. She said “Jeeti’s character is very close to my heart. She is a strong woman, the rock support of her adamant husband who dares to challenge the rules of world. Every woman will be able to relate with her.”
Others present at the Press Conference were Debutante Actors Bobby Sandhu and Kamalpreet Singh alongside Sarabjot Kaur (Associate Producer) and Kanwaljeet Kaur (C0-Producer).
Shanti Films and Prabh Saharan Production Films have collaborated for this venture which will be released on April 19. Besides Preeti and Jassi Jasraj, the other star cast of movie includes Rana Ranbir, Shahbaz Khan, Sardar Sohi, Kanwalpreet and Bobby Sandhu. Gautam Nagrath has directed the movie who was also assistant director of the Bollywood film Garv – Pride and Honor. Producers of the movie are Sandeep bansal and Kamaljit Kaur, while Prabhjot Kaur Mahant has helped in as assistant producer. Singers Jassi Jasraj, Diljit Dosanjh, JSL and Taranum have sung the songs, while Jassi Jasraj, Ikka, Baljinder S. Mahant and Deep Jagdeep have penned the lyrics.
The movie has been shot in and around Chandigarh. To be released on April 19, movie Bikkar Bai Sentimental revolves around a youngster who becomes larger than life following a chain of events spun around him.
