Stree 2 box office collection Day 1: 'O Stree Kal Aana', because Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-starrer has been creating records at the box office as it emerged as the biggest opener of 2024.
The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-starrer 'Stree 2' kicked off a massive campaign at the box office on Independence Day, going beyond all expectations. The film surpassed the opening day collections of 2023’s hits 'Animal' and 'Pathaan', which made Rs 63.8 crore and Rs 57 crore, respectively.
According to the film critic Taran Adarsh, 'Stree 2' has created a record at the box office. He said, "'Stree 2' CREATES HISTORY... When the Box office speaks louder than words... 'Stree 2' defies all pre-release expectations and predictions... Opens to a FANTABULOUS START, emerging as the BIGGEST OPENER OF 2024 [Hindi films]."
He further said, "'Stree2' Day 1 biz is AHEAD of 'Pathaan' [Rs 55 cr], 'Animal' [Rs 54.75 cr], 'KGF 2' Hindi [Rs 53.95 cr], 'War' [Rs 51.60 cr] and 'Thugs of Hindustan' [Rs 50.75 cr]."
Likewise, Taran Adarsh said, "'Stree 2' has set new benchmarks for the horror-comedy genre... 'Stree' [first part] had collected Rs 60.39 cr in Week 1... 'Stree 2' has CROSSED that figure on Day 1 + previews alone... Incredible, isn't it?"
