Mumbai: The second week of The Traitors India Season 2 has dramatically reshaped the game, with several contestants eliminated, suspicions intensifying and a familiar face making an unexpected comeback.

Hosted by Karan Johar, the Prime Video reality series premiered on August 13 with its first three episodes. Episodes four to six, released on Thursday, delivered some of the season's biggest twists so far.

With contestants divided between the hidden Traitors and the Innocents trying to expose them, the latest episodes have seen alliances break down and trust become increasingly difficult to maintain.

Dalip Tahil returns to the game

Veteran actor Dalip Tahil, who appeared to be the first contestant eliminated after the opening cage challenge, received an unexpected second chance.

Tahil had not been formally banished by the contestants at the Circle of Shaq, nor had he been eliminated through a Traitor murder. That left the door open for his return, and the show used that possibility to bring him back as a wildcard in episode four.

His comeback immediately added another layer of uncertainty to an already unpredictable game.

Ranveer Brar becomes the first major casualty

Celebrity chef Ranveer Brar was the first prominent contestant to leave during the second week.

His elimination came through a high-pressure card challenge dubbed the 'game of death'. Brar found himself competing against Ansh Chopra, Krystle D'Souza and Shalini Passi after their names appeared alongside the noose.

The rules were simple but unforgiving. Each round involved two cards — one representing life and the other death. Whoever picked the life card continued, while the contestant drawing the death card was eliminated.

Ansh escaped elimination in the opening round, with Shalini surviving the second. In the deciding round, Krystle drew the life card, leaving Brar as the contestant eliminated from the competition.

Abhishek Malhan targeted by the Traitors

Another major development came at the end of episode five when Abhishek Malhan, popularly known online as Fukra Insaan, was murdered by the Traitors.

Malhan had become increasingly vocal in his attempts to identify the people secretly working against the Innocents. His growing influence apparently made him a significant threat within the game.

Even after his exit, Malhan managed to leave behind a major clue. During his farewell interview, he named Aaditya Kulshreshth, popularly known as Kullu, and Shahneel Gill as two contestants he believed were Traitors.

His suspicion of Kullu proved particularly significant. Kullu was subsequently voted out by the Innocents during the Circle of Shaq in episode six.

Parul Gulati's suspicions backfire

The week's other major confrontation centred on actor Parul Gulati and her doubts about Krystle D'Souza.

Gulati had repeatedly questioned Krystle's behaviour and suggested that she might be concealing her true allegiance. The accusations eventually led to a tense Circle of Shaq, where the voting initially produced a deadlock.

The contestants were forced into another round of voting. Kullu changed his vote to Gulati, tipping the balance against her and resulting in her elimination.

Gulati left visibly disappointed, saying that her frustration was not simply about being voted out but about losing faith in the people around her. She maintained that she believed she had been playing a strong game.

Munawar Faruqui's exit set the tone

The second week's developments follow an equally turbulent opening week.

Comedian Munawar Faruqui was among the most notable early departures. Illusionist Karan Singh Magic and Soundous Moufakir were eliminated through Traitor murders, while Harman Singha was exposed as a Traitor and subsequently removed from the game by the other contestants.

The early exits have already demonstrated how quickly fortunes can change in the reality competition.

Who remains in ‘The Traitors 2’?

The second season began with 21 celebrity contestants. Following the latest eliminations, the remaining players include Ikka Singh, Mallika Sherawat, Shweta Tiwari, Tanya Puri, Rhea, Prish, Rida, Sahil, Krystle D'Souza, Ansh Chopra, Shalini Passi, Dalip Tahil and Shahneel Gill.

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment in association with All3Media International, the Indian adaptation continues to combine strategy, deception and social gameplay as contestants attempt to determine whom they can trust.

With the Traitors continuing to operate from within the group, the return of Tahil and the departures of several influential players have left the remaining contestants facing an even more unpredictable battle.
