Unni Ikki Preview: Jagjeet Sandhu's debut as lead actor to happen in comic puzzlement tomorrow

Unni Ikki Preview: Punjabi Mania present before you the full movie preview of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Unni Ikki'.

October 11 (Friday) will witness the 12th occasion of two or more Punjabi movies releasing on the same day in 2019. If you think that's not enough, the previous year in 2018 had seen only eight such instances. With 11 Fridays still remaining in the year, expect the count to further strengthen.

Among one of the movies to hit the silver screens on this Friday will be 'Unni Ikki'. The trailer of the movie had released more than two and a half weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Geet MP3. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of 1.8 million views on the same platform.

Jagjeet Sandhu, who has been part nearly dozen Punjabi movies till now, will be seen playing the lead hero for the first time in Unni Ikki. Sawan Rupowali, who was seen in 'Sikander 2' and 'Jaddi Sardar' earlier this year, will play the lead role opposite Sandhu in the movie.

Other than the lead pair, Unni Ikki will star an ensemble cast in Karamjit Anmol, Nirmal Rishi, Parkash Gadhu, Lucky Dhaliwal, Ravinder Mand, Gurchet Chitarkar, Navu Singh, Aman Sidhu, Manjeet Aulakh, Sameep Singh, Mohini Toor, Sangeeta Gupta, Randeep Bhangu and Sanjay Solanki.

Unni Ikki is likely to revolve around the continual confusion regarding the marriage of its leading pair in Sandhu and Rupowali. Seasoned actor Karamjit Anmol playing the "potential NRI groom" will most likely play spoilsport in the movie.

In addition to Sandhu and Anmol, the presence of Nirmal Rishi, Lucky Dhaliwal and Ravinder Mand is likely to work in the favour of the movie as far as making people laugh is concerned.

Unni Ikki has been directed by the debutant duo of Livtar Singh and Kaypee Gill. While Livtar has also written the script and screenplay of the movie, Gill has jointly written the screenplay (alongside Vishal Kohli) and produced the movie as well.

The movie has been produced under the banners of Ghaint Singh Entertainment, Running Break Productions and KP Motion Pictures. Amandeep Singh Sandhu, Navneet Singh, Abha Kathuria Kohli and, Vipul Kamboj are the other producers in the movie.

The movie will face stiff competition from Siddharth Anand's 'War' and Rajiev Dhingra's 'Tara Mira' at the box-office. Having said that, with no Punjabi movie having released in the last week, there is space for both Unni Ikki and Tara Mira to prosper on October 11.
