Rumours were Neeru Bajwa was not the first choice for Sardaar Ji, instead director Rohit Jugraj was exploring options from Bollywood for her role. When Rohit was asked about this in a Press Conference in Chandigarh, he disproved.
“There is less truth and more rumour in it,” said Rohit. He also added that all the decisions in the film were taken jointly. We decided the actresses according to the demand of the roles. Neeru Bajwa’s role befits her.
“If you see the chemistry in the movie, that only Neeru Bajwa can do.” added Rohit.
